The short version
- If your work is being used here without permission, report it to [email protected].
- We respond within a reasonable time, usually seven working days.
- If your content is taken down and you think that was wrong, you have the right to dispute it.
- We are not a United States service provider and have no registered DMCA agent — Section 6 explains why.
Everything below explains the detail.
1. The principle we work from
Most of what is on this site was written and uploaded by members, not by us. We do not edit or vet what they upload beforehand, so from time to time something may arrive here that should not have. When that happens we want to put it right, and we will not make you work through a convoluted procedure to tell us.
Authors' rights in Indonesia are governed by Law Number 28 of 2014 on Copyright, and that is the framework we work within. It is also worth remembering that not every use of someone else's work is an infringement — quotation for review, education, or news reporting may well be lawful under that same law.
2. How to report
Write to [email protected] with "Copyright" in the subject line. You do not need legal language and there is no particular form to fill in, but your report will move a great deal faster if it includes the following:
- The full link to the page on infiartt.com where the work appears.
- Which work you mean, and where your original can be seen, if it is online.
- Your standing — whether you are the author, the rights holder, or acting for one of them.
- How to reach you, at minimum a working email address.
- A statement that you are acting in good faith, that you believe the use was not authorised by you and is not permitted by law, and that what you have told us is true.
If you are unsure whether a particular use is an infringement at all, just send the question first. We would far rather discuss it than receive a formal report aimed at the wrong thing.
3. What happens after a report arrives
We read every report and aim to respond within seven working days. Because our team is small it is sometimes longer, though anything that looks serious goes to the front. If we judge your report well founded, the content is taken down or hidden, and we tell the member who uploaded it what happened, why, and how to dispute it.
If your report is unclear, or we think the use is probably lawful, we will say so and explain our reasoning rather than leaving you without an answer. You remain free to pursue legal remedies if you disagree with our assessment.
4. If it is your content that was removed
A member whose content has been taken down has the right to dispute it. Write to the same address giving the link to the removed content, the reason you think the removal was wrong — because you own it, because you have permission, or because the use is permitted by law — and how to reach you.
We will weigh both sides. If your response is convincing, the content is restored. We do not treat the first report as automatically correct merely because it arrived first.
5. Repeat infringement and dishonest reports
Members who repeatedly upload other people's work without the right to do so will lose their accounts. Equally, sending a copyright report you know to be untrue — to silence a review, say, or to get rid of someone you dislike — is an abuse of this process, and we will treat it as one.
6. About the DMCA
This page is deliberately not titled "DMCA Policy", and we would rather say plainly why. The DMCA is United States law, and its safe harbour protection is not obtained merely by publishing a page that mentions it — one of the requirements is registering a designated agent with the United States Copyright Office. InfiArtt has never made that registration, so claiming to have a registered DMCA agent would be a false claim, and notices sent to an agent that does not exist would reach nobody.
What we can offer is the real process on this page: one email address we genuinely read, a response time we have committed to, and a right of reply for members. If you do need to pursue a formal DMCA procedure, the route is not through us but through the hosting provider or the network provider serving this site. Notices they forward still reach us, and we still handle them the same way.
7. Contacting us
Everything to do with copyright, reports and disputes alike, goes to one address: [email protected].
